About Shane Padamada, LPCC

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable.
Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” Brene Brown

Hello, I’m Shane 🙂 I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego (USD), am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in CA, and a National Board Certified Counselor. Over the past 10 years in practice, I’ve gained experience working across diverse age groups, diagnoses and clinical settings ranging from schools, outpatient clinics, residential treatment facilities, and acute psychiatric hospitals. This breadth of experience has deepened my understanding of trauma’s impact on individual and public health, and strengthened my commitment to trauma-informed care.

My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where therapy is tailored to your unique needs. I’ve had training in a a variety of therapy modalities including, but not limited to: EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, MBSR, MSC, Schema Therapy, trauma-informed yoga, expressive arts, play and nature based therapies. I also incorporate elements of somatic, IFS/parts work, mindfulness and clinical hypnotherapy when applicable.

My hope is that my holistic, collaborative approach can empower those I work with to regain a sense of balance, connection and confidence to reach their therapeutic goals and improve overall well-being. I believe that even though we cannot change the past, predict the future, or control everything in the present, one truth remains constant: You are worthy of respect, love, joy, peace, and healing.
