About Saraf Shmutz, APCC

Hi, My name is Saraf Shmutz. As a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and understood. I believe that healing begins with acceptance and that, with support and compassion, meaningful change is possible. My goal is to listen deeply to whatever arises for you, helping you explore your feelings and thoughts in a way that feels both supportive and empowering.

I hold a Master’s degree from Naropa University and have two years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. I have experience in guiding individuals through challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and life transitions. My approach combines Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.

Whether you’re navigating emotional struggles, major life changes, or seeking personal growth, I am here to support you. Together, we’ll work on building resilience, cultivating self-compassion, and fostering a deeper sense of peace. I believe that everyone has the strength to create lasting change, and I would be honored to walk with you on your journey.
