About Lauren Werner, LMFT
I am deeply passionate about helping individuals reconnect with themselves and others to address issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, and other obstacles impacting their relationships, health, and overall sense of well-being. My approach centers around fostering an empathetic and authentic therapeutic relationship, which I believe is essential for overcoming the isolation and difficulties many of us face. I also view mental and emotional well-being as part of the broader landscape of overall health—encompassing our physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and mental dimensions—each contributing to a more fulfilling life.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. My background includes experience in the higher education sector, various group practices working with a diverse age range of clientele and issues, and, for the past three years, counseling adolescents in a secondary school setting. I have led grief groups, emotional regulation groups, and gender-specific issue groups, while focusing on my passion for helping those bravely navigating grief, anxiety, depression, chronic health issues, and spiritual challenges.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be trusted as I walk alongside others in this work. I believe that a caring therapeutic relationship, combined with our natural resilience, shared humanity, and ability to find hope in difficult situations, can truly pave the way for healing.
