About Jennifer Hajdu, LMFT

Hello, my name is Jennifer (she/her/hers) and I am an associate marriage family therapist in California and have been seeing clients since 2018. As a psychotherapist, I have worked with many different populations of people. I focus my work to meet you where you are at and join you on your path to self-exploration, understanding, and healing.

My love of counseling started in high school when I took my first counseling class and became a peer counselor. I went on to get my BA in Psychology from University of California Santa Cruz and my MA in Counseling with an emphasis on Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA.

In my work with clients, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also focus on a Jungian depth perspective that includes exploring the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind. My work is also focused on mindfulness awareness and somatic experience as the connection between mind and body are aligned.

My areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, OCD, relational/attachment issues, parenting, stress management, sexual trauma, chronic illness, nightmares, grief, and life adjustments.

I enjoy working with teens, adults, and couples and my approach is a person-centered focus of compassion with a trauma-focused lens. I look forward to our work together
