About Dr. Ashley Anderson, Ph.D.

Dr. Ashley Anderson (she/her) is a Registered Psychological Associate (#PSB94028102) under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Brown #PSY25587. She is of Swedish and Native American/Oglala Lakota heritage who honors and cherishes cultural diversity and practices. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She works deeply within the San Diego community in various settings.

Clinically, she has served diverse populations in various clinical mental health settings, including residential treatment, outpatient, and private practice, while working with individuals who experience addiction/dual diagnosis, persistent and severe mental illness, behavioral health crisis, anxiety and depression, TBI, learning disabilities, and more. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Outside of her clinical work, she serves as a yoga and meditation instructor within the community.

While Dr. Anderson specializes in various psychotherapeutic modalities (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and Culturally Sensitive/Responsive Therapy), she utilizes modalities to fit the unique needs of each of her patients.
