Let me guide you through your mental heath wellness journey. You are not alone. I treat each client as a unique individual, worthy of unconditional acceptance. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. I received my Masters of Family Therapy & children in 2013 from the University of Phoenix. Fun Fact: I love the outdoors camping, & to spend time with my dogs and family.
My name is Diane M. Estrada I am a Mexican-American Bilingual therapist with 10 years of experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I started my clinical experience working with children, adolescents, at school base programs. I then continued to grow my clinical experience in an Outpatient Therapy clinics & and trained in crisis interventions working with young adult and older adult populations.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns. My areas of specialties are depression, mood disorders, anger management, anxiety, panic disorder, social phobia, separation anxiety, co-dependency, agoraphobia, relationship issues, domestic violence, coping skills, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), life transitions, postpartum depression, self-esteem, communication skills such as boundary setting, school issues, behavioral issues, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder, stress management, parenting challenges, grief and loss, life and career challenges.
My Specialties:
Include working with culturally diverse populations including young adults, and older adults. I am fluent in Spanish and English. The modalities that I utilize include evidence base practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

My approach is empathetic, warm, transparent, interactive, and engaging. I treat each client as a unique individual, worthy of unconditional acceptance. I believe in establishing a therapeutic and respectful relationship between my client and myself. I’m sensitive, compassionate, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy focus on learning skills set, to learn to manage symptoms & behaviors interfering with life, cognitive processing therapy-trauma focus on processing any related traumatic event in your life, dialectical behavioral therapy will help to understand, emotional painful situations in relationships in processing of acceptance and distressful feelings. Interpersonal therapy-focus on grief/loss, life transitions and social support system. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to not only meet your needs but to facilitate your awareness, growth, and healing.

One of my goals is to create a safe and trusting environment where clients can feel supported and heard. I am committed to helping clients through life’s difficulties, I am committed to helping clients use their personal power in order to achieve their goals and make improvements in their lives.
What to expect in the first session:
In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, establish rapport and create a safe space for you, to help ease any concerns you may have, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me create tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
