About Allura Stewart, AMFT
Allow me to introduce myself—I’m Allura Stewart. My mission is to offer comprehensive support and guidance to my clients, fostering a nurturing environment where they can freely express themselves and feel truly heard. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Clinical Therapy emphasis from Touro University, I’m dedicated to providing a holistic mental health experience. Hailing from a blend of southern heritage and West Coast flair, I prioritize family values in all aspects of my life.
As an Afro-Latina American therapist, I bring a wealth of experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, spanning adolescents, families, and adults alike. My professional journey has exposed me to a spectrum of diagnoses, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD/ADD, trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, sexual abuse, self-harm tendencies, autism, grief, anger management, behavioral issues, and self-esteem challenges. Throughout my practice, I’ve seamlessly integrated a variety of therapeutic modalities, with my core approaches encompassing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness techniques.
