About Erica Escobedo, LPC
Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and even the smallest tasks may seem impossible at times. Seeking professional help is not a sign of weakness but an act of profound strength. As Brené Brown says, “Vulnerability is our greatest measure of courage.”
I am Erica Escobedo, a Mexican-American bilingual therapist with over seven years of experience in the mental health field. My mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and validating environment. I believe that being genuinely heard is a cornerstone of the healing process, and I strive to ensure every client feels seen, understood, and supported.
As a bilingual therapist, I recognize the importance of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity for all. I am committed to fostering an environment that respects and embraces diverse backgrounds and experiences, allowing clients to feel empowered and connected throughout their journey.
My professional experience includes providing inpatient and outpatient care in psychiatric hospital settings, as well as offering therapeutic services in private practice. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, along with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. These academic and professional experiences have equipped me with the tools and insights to help clients address a broad range of challenges.
I specialize in issues related to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustments to change, trauma, and interpersonal relationships. I take a holistic approach, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. Fostering resiliency is central to my practice, as I help clients regain the strength and confidence needed to move forward in life.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, incorporating techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I also focus on helping clients explore their emotions, learn to regulate themselves, and process trauma safely. By doing so, I aim to empower individuals to find effective coping strategies and foster healthier interactions with themselves and others.
Together, we can navigate the challenges you face and work toward creating a more fulfilling and empowered life.
