About Rachel Coulter, LMFT

Life can be hard, overwhelming, and sometimes we feel alone with no idea how to move forward. As your therapist, my role will be to stand with you as you climb the mountain and find healing along the way.

My name is Rachel Coulter and I am very excited to bring my 10+ years of therapeutic experience and expertise to Southern California! I was born at March Air Force Base in Riverside but have called California’s Central Valley home for most of my life. Coming from a Mexican-Italian family I understand the complexities of family systems and dynamics that can come up in therapy. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, women, couples, and families who have experienced symptoms ranging from anxiety, depression, and life changes to complex trauma and co-occurring disorders. I also have experience as a foster parent, adoptive parent, and working with high-needs children who have experienced severe trauma in their past along with working with grief and loss- whether it is a parent, loved one, or friend and working with women of all ages who have experienced infertility, weight issues. My therapeutic work experience ranges from areas such as non-profit community-based mental health to school-based SPED therapy to the Juvenile Justice system. Therapy, however, is my second career and passion as I previously worked in Media and Advertising before going back to school and getting my BS in Psychology and Masters of Science in Counseling/MFCT from University of Phoenix along with my Masters in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. I have been certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and certified as a trainer for CANS and CSSRS.
